folgendes bekomme ich vom mailserver

: SASL LOGIN authentication failed: generic failure
Jul 21 23:51:00 isp postfix/smtpd[6498]: warning: SASL authentication failure: cannot connect to saslauthd server: No such file or directory

So connecten sprich abrufen über thunderbird geht aber senden nicht da sagt er mir passwort falsch

Ruf mal bitte auf:

/etc/init.d/saslauthd start

wenn dann ein Fehler erscheint, schau mal ins mail.log.

sasl rennt bekomme über ps aux | grep sasl die info wenn ich restart oder start mache bekomme ich die meldung ne sasl instanz läuft .

Ja, ist vielleicht besser. Sorry, habe diese Woche recht wenig zeit. Die Ubuntu 8.04 Anleitung stammt von Usern, habe sie noch nicht getestet. Ich weiß nur, das es auf 7.10 funktioniert hat.

ich dachte es mir schon till, derzeit auch bei mir soweit ganz schön stressig. ich glaub ich lad mir ne debian vm von howtoforge.com runter und schau mal ob es dort funkt danach such ich mir ne leere platte.
