ispconfig + maxminddb

Für diverse Dienste nutze ich IP Geolocation, bind/schorewall/firewalld/dovecot/apache/amavisd.
Maxminddb steht ja, soweit ich weiß, nur noch kostenpflichtig zur Verfügung.

Für apache ist mod_maxminddb im Einsatz: RewriteCond %{ENV:MM_COUNTRY_CODE} !^(DE)$

Jetzt dachte ich mir, dass ich vorhandene IP Daten in eine MySQL/SQLite DB exportiere und mit apache-mod_dbd abfrage um im Idealfall den Rückgabewert DE für MM_COUNTRY_CODE zu erhalten. So müsste ich die apache Konfigurationen nicht anpassen.

Allerdings brauch ich, sofern es überhaupt möglich ist, Unterstützung bei der Konfiguration von apache-mod_dbd.

Woher kommt das Wissen, dass es das nur noch kostenpflichtig gibt?

Starting December 30, 2019, we will be requiring users of our GeoLite2 databases to register for a MaxMind account and obtain a license key in order to download GeoLite2 databases. We will continue to offer the GeoLite2 databases without charge, and with the ability to redistribute with proper attribution and in compliance with privacy regulations.
